Traffic Sources To Avoid In Developing Your Home Based Business

By Joe Okoro

In building a home based business, many marketers have done practically everything to generate traffic to their websites in hope that it will give them quality website visitors that they need to take their businesses to the next level.

Why extreme anxiety may make you search for promising methods to develop and structure your home business, you have to shun some traffic techniques except you want to be disappointed.

- Traffic Exchange.

The Traffic swap program is a hits membership website. Here you sign up to examine other people's websites in substitute for others to scrutinize yours.

My experience is that traffic exchanges do not attract subscribers to my newsletters even with about 10,000 hits on my website. I misused my precious time browsing away at a worthless venture. In any case, that time was not used anyhow really, it just made me realized another method that can lead to failure and that waste so much time.

- Purchasing E-mail Lists

Sometimes, you may get offers to buy email lists of people who have subscribed to business opportunities, I want you to know that this may be a waste of time because it is always very difficult to convert this list to responsive email list.

Given that the people in the list did not subscribe to you own message in the first place, sending e-mails to them is the same as spamming. You know what, just forget it.

Categorized Adverts

Several specialized advert sites may ask you to give them some certain amount in order to place your ad on their websites. Even as I am not against this particular system, note that most specialized adverts are not worth it. Your advert may be there and you will never get any response.

Nevertheless, traffic that work exists if you are interested. - 16928
