By Roy Sencio

Actors are born or so people say. It seems to be a profession that instills such passion in someone that they cannot bear to even consider another profession. People who are consumed with this kind of desire often research a film college early and have no doubts about where they are headed in life. They are positive with the background of a decent film school they are headed for fame and fortune.

But what about those people who know they are cut out for a career in film but have no desire to be an actor. What other roles are available for people in the film industry and which film school or film college should you attend to have the best chance of success in your chosen field? The choice of film production school will be the second most important choice you make after your choice of career path.

Are you a natural leader with strong communication skills and big shoulders to carry the burden of responsibility? Then film director school may be for you. The director is the engine room of any film. The director is responsible for getting all aspects of the movie right. Ultimate responsibility for the movie's success or failure will fall on the director's shoulders; you would want to hope that your filmmaker school has prepared you for this role. The film director school will need to work on your communication skills because everybody from the actors to the gaffer boy needs to get your message. Even if you have a great script and a great cast, your movie will fail unless you are a great director.

If this does not sound like the job for you then maybe you ought to consider film production school. It takes an excellent filmmaking school to prepare a person for the type of pressures this role is likely to put you under.
