Just like many others in a home business, I take my networking seriously. But I will say one thing I will not tolerate, and that's when someone is kind of bullied into an opportunity by someone that is good at over coming objection. I would not want someone in my downline that when the emotion wears off, they will have nothing but regrets about being talked into a business.
Without a doubt a home business is a great way to affordably get going and start making money. But here's some advise, don't let anyone try and bully you into an opportunity with agressive tactics. Before you hang up on them, make sure you get off their list. I despise this way of networking, it gives the rest a bad rap.
Those individuals are not going to commit themselves to making you any kind of money what so ever. You might get a half hour of free couching, but you will need to have a lot more knowledge about this industry, or you will fail. A home business is not a hobby and if done properly, is worth every ounce of energy that you put into it.
You need to first learn the right things to do that will fit your budget, as far as marketing is concerned. Nothing worse than spending money to promote your business, than keeping your fingers crossed you will make money. That's a recipe for disaster, and there are those that will tell you that's the only way to go about it. You will only be left out in the cold when that fails.
So many networkers refuse to see the light in this industry, and never bother to open their minds to the best ways to go about markting their business. They are hard wired to their bully ways of being the best at overcoming rejection. There is no way I want to put anyone in my business, by convincing them it's a miracle cure for their problems.
I am always educating myself and keep an open mind to new idea's for my home business. When I get the "I thought you were looking for an opportunity to make money" call, I let them go the whole nine yards. Then let them know where to get better educated so they won't fail themselve's or anyone else. I hear silence after that usually, than click.
Now if your in the home business industry, or thinking about getting involved in a networking business of your own. You may have experienced this kind of marketing behavior before, and they have to make a ton of calls to maybe coerce 1 person out of a 100 to join their business opportunity. You would never catch me doing that. For one thing, I don't have to, I use a very duplicatable marketing system that has never failed me. A system every person in a home business should consider. It is very efficient, and doesn't take up your whole day! - 16928
